Borgo Riparossa is the brainchild of two partners who took over and reorganized an old farm in 2017. We strongly believe that the use of high quality and process standards can help the production of excellent extra virgin olive oil.
Borgo Riparossa is an ethical and healthy project, the products we make are products that first end up on our tables, the location that will be recovered will first be the place where our customers will feel welcomed and pampered in the beautiful.

Minimizing soil disturbance as much as possible, avoiding any aggressive intervention on its layers. Reducing the intensity and depth of soil tillage, combined with fewer mechanical passes and transits over the land, allows us to increase soil fertility.
We promote soil regeneration by fertilising the soil with minerals and natural organic components. We preserve and increase the biodiversity of ecosystems, creating hospitable environments for living species such as through the pollinators of trees and plants. For us, this will soon also mean self-production and energy autonomy, with a focus on waste and the internal reuse of waste.
We make use of cover crops, literally “catch crops”. They are those cultivation practices that old farmers used to call “green manure crops”, i.e. a crop intended to be buried, which does not give rise to production.
“Cover crops” allow, in a non-crop period, to capture sunlight and absorb nutrients, improving ecosystem efficiency and weed control. In this way, the soil is covered and protected from climatic agents on a continuous basis, and the environmental risks due to nitrate loss, erosion and surface runoff, and loss of biodiversity are limited, so in short: preserving and enriching soil fertility.
